It seems only appropriate that an Irish-style Old Fashioned should have an Irish supporting cast of ingredients.
Featured Spirit: 1916 Bourbon
A simple syrup made with Guiness, as well as chocolate bitters rounds of the barley flavors present in our 1916 Bourbon.
Ingredients
- 2 oz 1916 Bourbon
- 3/4 oz Guinness Simple Syrup
- 2 dashes chocolate bitters
- 1 dash aromatic bitters
Instructions
In a mixing glass, combine all ingredients, then top up with ice. Stir well for 30 - 45 seconds, and strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with an expressed orange peel.
